Genesis: A Family Divided
In this message from Genesis 25:21–34, we examine the early family life of Isaac and Rebekah and the warning their story provides. What begins as a beautiful story of love, comfort, and answered prayer eventually becomes a divided household marked by favoritism, rivalry, and bitterness.
This passage reveals three important lessons: a marriage built on loving devotion, the danger of parental partiality, and the lasting consequences when spiritual priorities are replaced by earthly appetites.
Through the lives of Jacob and Esau, we see how easily family relationships can be damaged when preferences, pride, and opportunity replace wisdom and reverence for what God has given.
Join us as we reflect on the warnings in this passage and consider how believers can guard their homes, marriages, and hearts from the seeds of division and bitterness.
