In this episode, we explore the rich doctrinal truths found in Hebrews 7 and the mysterious figure of Melchizedek.
Why is a brief Old Testament mention of a king-priest so crucial to understanding Jesus’ role as our High Priest? This chapter affirms that Christ, though not from the tribe of Levi, is a divinely appointed Priest after the order of Melchizedek: eternal, righteous, and perfect. We'll examine six powerful truths about Melchizedek’s character and how each one points us to the supremacy of Jesus.
Discover how Christ's priesthood brings us not just access to God, but identity as kings and priests in Him.

Genesis: The Battle for the People
Monday Jun 23, 2025
Monday Jun 23, 2025
In this episode, we explore Genesis 14, where Abram steps into a war between two coalitions of kings and delivers a powerful example of obedience and faith. We begin by examining the first recorded rebellion in Scripture five kings of the Jordan Valley rising against the eastern kings led by Chedorlaomer. Their rebellion reveals the nature of obstinance and the spiritual dangers of rejecting authority.
As Abram rescues Lot from captivity, we witness God’s hand in overturning the enemy's victory. The narrative then shifts to a contrast between two kings: Bera, king of Sodom, who represents bondage and corruption, and Melchizedek, king of Salem, who represents righteousness and blessing. Melchizedek’s encounter with Abram introduces themes of worship, tithing, and Christlike foreshadowing.
The episode concludes with Abram’s oath to the Lord refusing to accept even a shoelace from the wicked king of Sodom showing us a man committed to glorifying God alone. Through war, rescue, and spiritual conviction, this chapter reminds us that obedience is better than rebellion, and true blessing flows through submission to the Most High God.

Genesis: Abram's Fear
Monday Jun 02, 2025
Monday Jun 02, 2025
In this episode, we walk through Genesis 12:11–20 and explore how fear led Abram to trust human reasoning over divine direction. When Abram entered Egypt, fear caused him to ask Sarai to lie an action rooted not in faith, but in self-preservation. Yet even in the midst of Abram’s failure, God’s faithfulness remained steadfast. We’ll uncover two powerful truths: how fear can distort our decisions, and how God’s mercy still operates in our weakness.
Whether you're facing uncertainty or wrestling with the consequences of past choices, this message will encourage you to trust God more deeply, knowing He is faithful, even when we falter.

Monday May 12, 2025
In this episode, we explore the heart of God’s commandments—revealing not a list of burdens, but a roadmap to blessing, peace, and fruitfulness. Drawing from Deuteronomy 10, we see how God’s call to fear Him, walk in His ways, love Him, and serve Him is designed for our good. These divine requirements are not grievous but gracious, offering spiritual peace, lasting mercy, and the nearness of God’s presence to His people.
We also consider the glory and character of our God—mighty and just, merciful to the stranger and the fatherless, and always working for the good of those who love Him. Through passages like 1 John 5:3 and Romans 8:28, we’re reminded that obedience is both a response to God’s love and the pathway to our deepest joy.
Join us as we unpack how God's governance blesses His people, and why God alone deserves all the glory.

Monday May 05, 2025
In this episode, we explore Deuteronomy 10:1–10 and the significance of the ark of the covenant and the Levitical priesthood. Why did God command Moses to carve new stone tablets? What was the deeper meaning behind placing them in the ark? We take a closer look at the divine statutes—the Ten Commandments written by God's own hand—and the designated servants—the tribe of Levi, set apart to carry the ark and minister before the Lord.
You'll hear how the ark functioned not just as a container, but as a symbol of preservation, remembrance, and promise. We also draw out the rich parallels between the Old Testament priesthood and the calling of New Testament believers to serve as priests unto God. This episode challenges us to consider: Is God truly enough for us? Are we bearing, standing, and blessing in His name?
Join us for a deep, practical study of how God’s law and His chosen servants reveal timeless truths for our lives today.

Remember and Obey: Hold to the Harsh Reality
Monday Apr 28, 2025
Monday Apr 28, 2025
In this episode, we explore the sobering truth found in Deuteronomy 9 and Exodus 32: the people of Israel were not chosen because of their righteousness, but in spite of their rebellion. We walk through the sinful substitution of idolatry, the stubborn stance of disobedience, and the saving supplication of intercession. Despite their stiff-necked nature, God's mercy was extended through the faithful prayers of Moses—and ultimately, through the perfect intercession of Christ. This episode challenges us to remember our own unworthiness and cling to the grace that only our great High Priest can provide.
